The Society consists of about 150 members and the annual subscription for November 2025 to October 2026 is  £52. Membership renewal letters, along with the Autumn Newsletter, are sent out before the January AGM and membership should be renewed by 1st February. On renewal, members receive their The Arts Society Sanderstead programme card.

If membership is full there is a waiting list, the registration fee for which is £5. Those on the waiting list, and visitors, are able to attend up to two monthly meetings each year, at a cost currently of £5 per visit. In addition those on the waiting list would be invited to the June or July meeting and drinks afterwards, and take up any vacancies on Society events and visits.

The Membership Secretary contacts those on the waiting list as vacancies occur, usually in January and February.
